Do we actually play a game of Dungeons & Dragons ?

Absolutely, during the session you will be playing a full, D&D 5e game. All rules and gameplay will be exactly as printed in the Players Handbook, the only slight differences we have had to implement are :

The sessions will be  more linear, story driven so we are able to fit everything into the 2 hour time constraint, also the players character sheets have been pre-filled and  simplified suitable for beginners, enabling us to jump straight into the session.

I have never played Dungeons & Dragons before, is this really suitable ?

Yes, Yes, Yes !!! We have designed this experience with beginners in mind, all the rules and gameplay are explained, in a simple to understand way, after a quick 10 minute introduction, you will be playing your first game of D&D !!

I Play Dungeons & Dragons regular, Would I still enjoy this ?

While we have tailored the experience towards beginners, we are still playing a game of D&D, so there is no reason why you would not enjoy the session, especially if you come along with a group who are new to the hobby, it would be a great way to show them how fun it really is. Bare in mind these are level 1 One shot sessions,  anything higher wouldn't be suitable for the majority of people attending.

The Sessions are For 4, Can we play with less or more people ?

Unfortunately we have designed these stories with a 4 player, balanced party, so any less or more players wouldn't be possible, as it would mean completely rewriting the story.

What ages is this suitable for ?

While we have tried to make the experience as beginner friendly as we can, some of the rules in Dungeons & Dragons may be quite complicated for really young children, so we would probably say 10 years and over, to fully enjoy the session.

Can I stay and watch my child play ?

Yes, we have extra seating for 3 people to sit and watch the session if required.

​

Can we bring food and drink ?

Yes, we provide a small selection of pop/water and snacks included in the price, but by all means, bring your own.

​

Can we bring alcohol ?

Well every great adventure starts in a tavern doesn't it ? so yes (within reason, of course) any abusive behavior will not be tolorated, and the session will be finished early.

We can't make our booking, can we cancel ?

If for any reason you can't make your booking, please let us know as soon as possible so we can try and fill your slot.

Any bookings cancelled later than 48hrs cannot be refunded, but we will try and move your session to a more suitable date for you and your party.
